Our HIV vaccine (HIV-PV vaccine I) is designed to prevent and treat infection by the human immunodeficiency virus, or HIV. Our HIV vaccine will be an oral vaccine that can induce mucosal and systemic immune responses against HIV, including neutralizing antibodies and cytotoxic T lymphocytes. Our primary strategy is to develop, test and obtain regulatory approval for our HIV vaccine in China first and then in the United States and Japan. Our subsidiary, Bio-Bridge Science (Beijing), has completed pre-clinical testing of our HIV vaccine on laboratory animals through an agreement with Beijing Institute of Radiation Medicine, a leading research institute for biological products in China. Bio-Bridge Science (Beijing) is currently producing the HIV vaccine and will apply to China's State Food and Drug Administration for approval to conduct clinical trials of the HIV Vaccine in the near future.
